Our story

Fehmarn was, for us, always more than just a travel destination. It was the place we kept returning to – to kitesurf, for long walks with our dogs along the sea, or simply to enjoy the calm, the wind and the island’s special atmosphere.

On one of these visits, we discovered Villa Rosengarten. From the first glance, it was clear: this house has a soul. The architecture, the old trees and the charm of the property captivated us immediately. When the opportunity to take over the villa arose in 2015, we didn’t have to think twice.

With a great deal of passion, attention to detail and respect for the house’s history, we extensively restored and modernised the villa, built in 1920. Our goal was to preserve its original character while creating a place where our guests feel completely at home – stylish, comfortable and with all the amenities that make for a relaxed stay.

Today, Villa Rosengarten combines historic elegance with modern living comfort. Professional high-speed WiFi makes it just as much the perfect retreat for remote work as for a longer holiday. Those who work in the morning with a view of the greenery and spend their evenings at the beach or on the water experience a very special balance between work and relaxation.

Fehmarn offers exceptional opportunities all year round: endless beaches, nature, watersports, cycling routes and the vastness of the Baltic Sea. Whether you’re a kitesurfer, cyclist, dog owner, nature lover, or simply someone looking to escape everyday life for a while – everyone finds their own favourite spot here.

Our small sauna and the fitness area in the old barn are available to our guests in the low season and winter, by individual appointment and for a surcharge, and invite you to do something good for body and mind. Of course, four-legged family members are warmly welcome too – because we know from our own experience that a holiday is only complete when man’s best friend can come along.
